HelpAge Canada proudly hosted the 2024 Community-Based Seniors’ Services (CBSS) Sector Summit – Claiming our Space, Naming our Future – from June 2nd to 4th, 2024, in Ottawa, ON, with the generous support of our Presenting Sponsor, SE Health.

This historic event was the first time that leaders and changemakers in aging gathered nationally to carve out their place as a coordinated, pan-Canadian sector. From the Northwest Territories to Prince Edward Island to British Columbia, individuals and grassroots organizations from across the country lent their voices to the conversation on building a better future for aging in Canada, and our three days together were jam-packed with learning from experts on key sector topics, networking with like-minded peers, and sharing knowledge and ideas for the way forward.

We were thrilled to have public figures like the Honourable Barb Ramsay, Minister of Social Development and Seniors in PEI, the Honourable Paul Pike, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development in Newfoundland & Labrador, Mr. Terry Sheehan, the Honourable Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Seniors, and the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, former Governor General of Canada, who joined us throughout the Summit.
