Help the world’s most vulnerable older people by leaving a legacy gift to HelpAge Canada through a will, trust or beneficiary designation. You can name your estate gift in memory or honor of a parent, grandparent or anyone else as an enduring remembrance and tribute.

A gift in your will.

You can name a specific or actual dollar amount or a percentage of what is left after you leave specific gifts for family and friends.

Benefits

  • Your assets remain under your control during your lifetime.
  • You can modify your gift if your circumstances change.
  • Just a sentence in your will or trust completes your gift.

What if I've already written my will or trust?

You can amend your will or trust to make a gift without rewriting the entire document. Your attorney can prepare a simple document, called a codicil, which adds a new gift to HelpAge USA while reaffirming the other terms of your will.

A gift from your retirement plan, financial account or life insurance.

You can donate all or part of your: pension, IRA, 401(k) or other retirement plans; financial accounts; or life insurance by submitting an updated Designation of Beneficiary form.
