HelpAge Canada is thrilled to announce the appointment of its new Executive Director:
Gregor Sneddon, BBA, BTh, MPTh, MATh.
Gregor is passionate about working with the vulnerable and the marginalized, the poor, and the elderly. He comes to us after serving in ordained ministry with the Anglican Church of Canada. Gregor worked as a chaplain with the homeless or those at risk of homelessness and in several parishes, including as Rector of St. Luke’s and St. Matthew’s, Ottawa. He was instrumental in the formation and executive leadership of St Luke’s Table, a Community Ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa feeding over 200 people each day in Ottawa’s Chinatown.
Gregor studied business administration and worked as an entrepreneur and as a business developer with an international franchise and leadership company and with a philanthropic foundation in rural West Virginia before completing graduate work in theology. He has extensive experience serving on local and national social service or charitable boards, and has worked internationally with academic, ecclesial and social justice committees, networks, and associations.
He is married with two children. The Sneddons enjoy being in nature, making music, painting, Highland Dancing, and breaking bread with friends.
