Seniors in Need
Despite the best efforts of Canadians, and the hard work of our social services, sometimes people fall through the cracks. Forgotten and in desperate need, older people are sometimes trapped in situations they simply can't escape from.
That's where HelpAge Canada's Seniors in Need program comes in. One-time grants through our Seniors in Need program of up to $1000 are available to help intervene in cases where Canadian seniors have fallen through the gaps in our social safety net, until long-term solutions are available.
Currently, the Seniors in Need program is only available in the City of Ottawa, and the United County of Leeds and Grenville.
HelpAge Canada is keen to expand this program throughout Canada, but we'll need your help to do it, so donate now.
